Ingredients

  • 1 cup suji (rava)
  • 2 cups paani (water)
  • 1 chammach tel (1 tsp oil)
  • 1/2 chammach rai (mustard seeds)
  • Kuch kadhi patte (few curry leaves)
  • 1 chhota pyaaz, बारीक kata hua (1 small onion, finely chopped)
  • 1 hari mirch, बारीक kati hui (1 green chilli, finely chopped)
  • 1/2 chammach adrak-lahsun paste (1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste)
  • Namak swaad anusaar (salt to taste)
  • 1/4 chammach haldi powder (1/4 tsp turmeric powder)
  • 1/2 chammach laal mirch powder (1/2 tsp red chilli powder)
  • 1 chammach nimbu ka ras (1 tsp lemon juice)
  • Dhaniye ke patte, बारीक kate hue (fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped)

Method / Preparation

Follow step-by-step instructions
  1. Ek kadhai mein 1 chammach tel garam karein. Rai aur kadhi patte daal kar tadakne dein.
  2. Pyaaz aur hari mirch daal kar halka gulabi hone tak bhoonein. Adrak-lahsun paste daal kar 1 minute tak pakayein.
  3. Ab haldi powder, laal mirch powder aur namak daal kar achhe se mix karein.
  4. Isme paani daal kar ubal aane dein. Jab paani ubalne lage, toh dheere-dheere suji daalte jaayen aur lagatar chalate rahein taaki lumps na banein.
  5. Suji ko tab tak pakayein jab tak woh ek dough jaisa ikattha na ho jaaye aur kadhai chhodne na lage. Gas band kar dein aur dhak kar 5 minute rakhein.
  6. Thanda hone par, haathon ko tel se grease kar ke suji dough ko achhe se masal lein. Chhote chhote dumplings bana lein, aap gol ya lambe aakar de sakte hain.
  7. Ek steamer mein paani garam karein. Steamer plate ko tel se grease kar ke dumplings us par rakhein.
  8. Dumplings ko 8-10 minute tak steam karein, jab tak woh naram aur pake hue na lagne lagein.
  9. Steamed dumplings ko ek serving plate mein nikal lein. Upar se nimbu ka ras aur kate hue dhaniye ke patte daal kar garma garam serve karein.
  10. Aap inhe hari chutney ya tomato sauce ke saath serve kar sakte hain.
