Ingredients

  • 250 grams paneer, tukde kar liye huye (cubed paneer)
  • 1 bada pyaaz (big onion), kaate hue (chopped)
  • 1 bada tamatar (big tomato), kaate hue (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup dahi (yogurt)
  • 1/4 cup malai (fresh cream)
  • 1 bada hari mirch (big green chili), kaate hue
  • 1 inch adrak (ginger) ki piece, kaate hue (chopped)
  • 4-5 laung (cloves)
  • 4-5 kali mirch (black peppercorns)
  • 1 inch dalchini ka tukda (cinnamon stick)
  • 2 bade elaichi (green cardamom)
  • 1/2 chammach haldi powder (turmeric powder)
  • 1 chammach lal mirch powder (red chili powder)
  • 1 chammach dhaniya powder (coriander powder)
  • 1/2 chammach garam masala powder
  • 1/4 chammach hing (asafoetida)
  • 1/4 cup makhan (butter) ya tel (oil)
  • Namak (salt) as per taste
  • Dhaniya patti (coriander leaves) for garnish
  • Lemon ke tukde for serving

Method / Preparation

Follow step-by-step instructions
  1. Kadai ko gas par garam karein aur usme makhan ya tel garam karein.

  2. Laung, kali mirch, dalchini, aur elaichi daal kar chalein.

  3. Pyaaz ko kadai mein daal kar unhe golden brown hone tak bhunein.

  4. Tamatar, hari mirch, aur adrak ko kadai mein daal kar masalon ke saath pakayein, jab tak ki tamatar gal jayein.

  5. Ab is mixture ko thanda hone dein aur fir se blender mein grind karein, taki gravy smooth ho jaye.

  6. Dahi ko ek alag bowl mein acche se phent lein.

  7. Bhuna hua masala, haldi powder, lal mirch powder, dhaniya powder, aur namak daal kar acche se mix karein.

  8. Grind kiya hua tamatar-onion mixture aur dahi ko kadai mein daal kar acche se milayein aur 5-7 minutes tak pakayein.

  9. Paneer tukde aur malai daal kar acche se mix karein.

  10. Garam masala powder daal kar acche se mix karein.

  11. Dhaniya patti se sajayein aur garama-garam serve karein.
