    1. 1 liter full-fat milk
    2. 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  2. For the Milk Syrup:
    1. 4 cups full-fat milk
    2. 1/2 cup sugar
    3. 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
    4. A few saffron strands

Method / Preparation

Follow step-by-step instructions
  1. Bring 1 liter of milk to a boil and add lemon juice to curdle it. Strain the curdled milk using a cheesecloth to obtain fresh paneer. Knead the paneer until smooth and form small, flat dumplings.
  2. For the syrup, bring 4 cups of milk and sugar to a boil. Simmer until the milk reduces slightly. Stir in cardamom powder and saffron strands.
  3. Add the paneer dumplings gently into the warm syrup and let them soak for 10 minutes.
  4. Chill before serving.
